This message is for those with disabilities at Amazon, If you have been laid off in the recent 32,000 Amazon Layoffs but were never provided any accommodations, were routinely denied accommodations before the layoffs, faced discrimination or retaliation based on disability or were on Disability Leave or FMLA. This message is for you, Also if you know someone that meets this description you can send us an email and cc them on it or share our contact information with them. We want to get this message to anyone with a disability who was affected by the layoffs at Amazon))

Some people with disabilities have recommended that they would not take severance at least at first and instead explore wrongful termination claims (((This is not legal advice and we are not lawyers but this is friendly advice by those with disabilities based on what has worked for other amazonians who were laid off but who faced disability discrimination)) if you were discriminated against prior to layoffs AS you still might have a disability discrimination case. Amazon seems to falsely been placing those with disabilities, or those who requested accommodations into a false layoff category or are marking them as "Would have been terminated" even if there was no layoff.

They are placing those with disabilities into a fake layoff category as pretext so they can fire them and try to get away with it, If this happened to you, you still may have a wrongful termination lawsuit. To understand whether you have wrongful termination case or whether you should accept severance, Please email the below 23 lawyers a summary of your case, what happened prior to the layoffs, The reason why you don't want to immediately accept severance is that will remove your ability to bring a discrimination lawsuit against Amazon. It waives your rights, A severance is generally very small around 20k or 30k but a discrimination lawsuit can be 100k-300k, So before you sign a severance you must speak with at least 15 lawyers and hear multiple opinions. You should immediately reach out to lawyers, like today, My understanding is that you generally have 45 days in a mass layoff to respond to a severance agreement which should be enough time to speak with 15 or more lawyers. I believe if you didn't receive a severance email the clock doesn't start until you receive it, If you need an extension I believe HR can give 2 weeks extra according to some reddit posts I saw but I'm not sure. A severance agreement is not something you should rush no matter what, Learn all your options first You want to talk with lawyers as quickly as possible and say how you believe being placed into a layoff category was pretext and that they did this due to disability discrimination
